Reuben O. McDonald Bio

Reuben has been active in the insurance field as an insurance agent and consultant since 2004. Immediately prior to his conversion to the insurance industry, he worked as an apprenticing aircraft maintenance engineer. In January 2004, Reuben suffered a severe stroke as a result of a fall during a martial arts class. Having had numerous investments at the time that required a steady income to maintain the investments, the stroke changed his life in many ways particularly in the fact that he can no longer qualify for coverage and that he had to spend most of his retirement portfolio and equity in his home to pay his debts and keep his family together. This singular event has prepared him for his career as a Life Insurance Agent and Advisor, with a special concentration on Critical Illness.

Reuben holds his BA in Police Studies and Gang Prevention from the University of Washington, has completed his class work as a Certified Financial Planner at the University of Calgary and is a Notary Public for the province of Alberta. One of his future goals is to complete his Masters in Finance. Reuben is passionate and committed to providing outstanding and comprehensive service to his clients.
